Lacinda is passionate about supporting and empowering individuals on their unique healing journey. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space to help you manage your anxiety, past trauma, and develop new flexible coping strategies. She will collaboratively work with you to regulate your emotions, develop positive communication patterns, cope with life transitions, regulate your nervous system, and build self-worth. Lacinda acknowledges trauma impacts our body and our mind, and believes in holistically understanding what is at the root of our responses and reactions. Lacinda understands that substance use, and other formally adaptive coping strategies often mask deeper issues, and she works with you to explore and address the underlying concern. Lacinda will support you in getting in touch with your emotions, sensations, feelings, behaviours and somatic responses.

There’s no doubt that starting therapy can be daunting. In session with Lacinda, you can expect a relaxed, warm, non-judgmental, and compassionate space to share your experiences in a way that is authentic and honest to you. You can expect that Lacinda will work collaboratively with you to ensure therapy meets you where you’re at. Lacinda believes you are always in the driver's seat, and only you can take on the role of expert in your life. Lacinda seeks to help you use your strengths and empower you to achieve your goals and make positive changes in your life.

Outside of session, you can find Lacinda going for hikes with her two dogs Luna and Willow, spending time outdoors with good company, traveling, watching reality T.V., and starting (and hopefully finishing) endless DIY house projects. Lacinda loves incorporating physical activity and movement into her routine, as well as creative outlets to support her mental and physical wellbeing. Lacinda always starts her day with a coffee, journaling and cuddles with the puppies, and loves to end her day with a little reality T.V., a sunset walk, and reflecting on the little joys in life.

Q&A

Are you a paw-rent? Tell us about your pet!
I have two doggos! Luna is a three year old Australian Shephard mix and an old soul. She loves to spend her days romping in the outdoors, chasing balls and being with her family. Willow is an (almost) one year old Golden Retriever and a very happy girl. She LOVES people and wants to be right by your side and greeting everyone (and anyone).
What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
In the summer, I love to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon by (or on) the water with good company, good food and a little R&R.
What is your favourite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon?
Ice coffee is my go-to in the summer! I love a homemade ice coffee with a little bit of milk and maple syrup on a sunny afternoon!
