Amreeta specializes in supporting individuals facing challenges with low self-worth, anxiety, and depression. If you find yourself doubting or viewing yourself negatively, Amreeta understands how these feelings can worsen anxiety and depression. That’s why she’s passionate about guiding you to boost your self-esteem and break free from persistent negative thought patterns. Amreeta will help you build a toolbox of resources, fostering a more positive mindset. She’ll support you in making courageous choices and becoming more assertive in your communication.
With 17 years of counselling experience, Amreeta understands that creating a safe space for you to explore and communicate your emotions is important and makes this a priority in every session. In working with Amreeta, you’ll notice she uses a direct but gentle approach to identify underlying triggers and ineffective beliefs. Amreeta knows firsthand about the daily practice of believing in yourself. As a cis-female first-generation South Asian, she understands how it feels to be an outsider and navigate between two different cultures and worldviews. Through her own therapy and personal journey, she has learned that loving yourself and recognizing your worth builds trust in yourself.
When she’s not in the therapist’s seat, Amreeta is a mother to two children and a partner in a biracial marriage. As part of her self-care, she loves exploring new places, exercising and yoga, and drinking bubble tea. Recognizing herself as an introvert, she enjoys having quiet time to herself.
